Data Subject Rights

Data subjects include existing and potential customers, newsletter subscribers, and users of notification channel services. Data subjects have the right to know what information has been collected and stored about them and can request an investigation if needed.

Personal data may be processed with the consent of the data subject.

Personal data is processed only for predefined purposes such as managing customer relationships, informing about services, conducting customer service and operations, developing services, sending newsletters, and handling other inquiries.

Processing is also permitted in cases where there is a customer, employment, or membership relationship between the data subject and the data controller, and the collection and storage of personal data are necessary for handling matters between the parties. Additionally, the right to process personal data may be based on other legal obligations imposed on the data controller by law.

Right of access

It is required that the processing of personal data be transparent. Therefore, the data controller is obligated to provide information about the processing of your personal data both at the time of collection and during processing. You must be informed about: the data controller and, if necessary, their representative, the purpose of the processing of personal data, regular disclosures of data, and the exercise of data subjects’ rights in the processing of personal data.

Everyone has the right to obtain information from the register extract, which must be prepared for all personal registers. It shows, among other things, the name of the data controller, what information has been collected into the register, and for what purposes it is used. The data controller may also add a section to the extract explaining the data subjects’ rights.

The information stored in the customer register includes:

Business information: Company name, business ID, visiting/billing/postal address, and phone number Personal information: Name, visiting/billing address, phone number, and email address Customer information: Information about purchased products/services, inquiries for quotations, and other contacts.

You have the right to access the register extract, primarily at the data controller’s place of business.

Right to Inspection

Upon request, you have the right to know what information about you is held in a personal register or whether there is no information concerning you in the register. The information must be provided to you in an understandable format, and if desired, also in writing. You have the right to know from where the information is regularly obtained for the register, how it is used, and to whom it is regularly disclosed.

The right to access information is free of charge once a year. Access rights are generally applicable, but there are exceptions in certain situations, and some registers are completely excluded from the right of access.

Exercising the right of access

Submit your request for access directly to the data controller. If you wish, you can use a template form prepared by the Data Protection Ombudsman’s office.

If the data controller refuses to provide your information, they must provide you with a written certificate stating the reasons for denying access. After this, you can contact the Data Protection Ombudsman for assistance.

Right to rectification of information

Everyone has the right to be assessed based on correct information. Only information necessary for the specified purpose of processing personal data can be stored in the register. The data controller must also notify those to whom your information has been disclosed and from whom incorrect information was obtained about the correction of the information. Submit your request for rectification of information directly to the data controller. If desired, you can use a template form prepared by the Data Protection Ombudsman’s office.

If the data controller refuses to correct the information, they must provide you with a certificate stating the reasons for the refusal. After this, you can contact the Data Protection Ombudsman for assistance.

Right to restrict processing

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data if you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully. You have the right to request that the processing of disputed data be restricted until the matter is resolved.

Right to erasure (right to be forgotten)

You have the right to request the deletion of your data if the processing of the data is no longer necessary. We will process your deletion request, after which we will either delete the data or provide a justified reason why the data cannot be deleted.

It should be noted that the data controller may have a legal or other right to refuse to delete requested information. The data controller is obligated to retain accounting records in accordance with the Accounting Act (Chapter 2, Section 10), for the period defined (10 years). Therefore, accounting-related records cannot be deleted before the expiration of the statutory retention period.

Practical Actions

When a data subject wishes to exercise these rights or has questions regarding the processing of their personal data, they should primarily contact the relevant data controller. If the data subject cannot resolve their issue with the data controller, they may contact the Data Protection Ombudsman.

The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Ombudsman if they believe that we are infringing applicable data protection legislation.

If a user wishes to receive their information in downloadable document form regarding this website more frequently than once a year, we charge a data processing fee, determined by the extra hours required, starting at €100 (+VAT 24%) per additional instance.

Customer information is typically obtained, for example, directly from the customer when a customer relationship is established, through online forms, from the customer’s website, or from the Business Information System (YTJ).

However, as administrators of the site, they have access to statistical analytics through the site’s management tools.

The website operates on WordPress content management. WordPress does not collect data about users of this site.
