Boliden’s low-carbon zinc has a carbon footprint of no more than 1 kg CO₂e per kilogram of zinc produced. Even the standard production carbon footprint is low (under 2 kg CO₂e), while the industry average is around 3.6 kg CO₂e. The zinc is mined at Boliden’s own mines in Sweden and Ireland, using fossil-free energy. A smaller carbon footprint, a greater impact.
